METHOD:

The cardigan is worked seamlessly from the top down starting from the upper back which is worked flat until the underarms. Stitches are then picked from the shoulder edges for the fronts, which are worked flat whilst shaping the neckline. The upper front and back stitches are joined on the same circular needle and are worked flat until the hem. Stitches for the sleeves are picked up from the armholes, and the sleeves are worked in the round using either the Magic Loop technique or double-pointed needles. Finally, the neckline and button bands are finished by a double knitted edge.
