NEEDLES:

4.5 mm / US 7 circular needle, 40 cm / 16”
5 mm / US 8 circular needle, 40 cm / 16”
5 mm / US 8 DPNs or circular needle, 80 cm / 32”
if you’re using Magic Loop -technique

Adjust the needle size to get the correct gauge.

GAUGE:

Size of one cable pattern repeat (11 sts and 4 rnds) = width 5 cm / 2” and height 1.5 cm / 0.5”
with larger needles.

NOTIONS:

Stitch marker, tapestry needle, cable needle

METHOD:

The hat is worked from the bottom up starting with 1 x 1 ribbed brim. Once that’s done, you will work the cabled body by following the chart and written instructions at the end. Note that the written instructions include the top decreases
