GAUGE

Chart I (11 sts and 10 rows): width 6 cm / 2.25” and height 3.5 cm / 1.25” with 4 mm / US 6 needles, after blocking.

NOTES

The vest is worked from the top down. First, the upper back is worked flat to the underarms. Stitches are then picked up at the shoulders to work the left and right front sections separately to the underarms. The fronts and back are joined on the same needle, and the body is worked flat to the hem. Stitches are picked up around the neckline and armholes and finished with ribbing. Finally, I-cord ties are worked for the front of the vest.
